I’m Sandy, a local mum of four, I am very passionate when it comes to standing up for what I believe in and giving a voice to my community. I campaigned against the closure of Alderman Swindell in 2018, later becoming a spokesperson for the Save Our Children Centres Campaign.
In my role my volunteering at Citizens advice and North Denes Primary School Food Bank I see the everyday struggle people go through to make ends meet which is why I have campaigned on the use of food banks, digital poverty and free school meals.
I work for a local charitable organisation delivering training and education for people out of work or not in education.
During lockdown I have delivered food to local residents, volunteered at 2 local foodbanks and been a huge presence on social media highlighting and sharing important numbers and organisations where everyone can get help and support.
We need more hard working, dedicated, community minded people on our council to fight for what’s important locally. That is why I am standing as your candidate for Yarmouth North and Central division this May 6th.
