I have lived in Thetford for over twenty years and my younger sons went to school here. Thetford is a beautiful area and we need to preserve the best whilst moving with the times to ensure we don’t get left behind and obstruct planning and innovation. I have been a Councillor on Breckland Council representing the Thetford-Priory Ward since the election in 2019 and I have enjoyed being able to represent residents at the District Council. I have been privileged to speak on topics including climate change and I was instrumental in getting Breckland Council to declare a Climate Emergency in 2019.
I have many years of experience in working in Social Services in Suffolk and Norfolk and was an operational manager for the Youth Offending service. I have been a Lay Visitor for the Suffolk Police Authority and a Governor of Norfolk and Suffolk Health Trust. I have worked in multi-agency teams with a variety of professionals and people from all walks of life. These experiences have given me a great deal of knowledge of how tenuous life can be for many people. I am passionate about supporting families and children when they need it; young people are our future and they deserve the best possible start in life.
Getting results for people and improving their lives is more important to me than party politics.
Elected to Breckland Council in 2019
