Seven years ago, my wife and I chose to move to Taverham to start our new family. I now have two boys, who are five and three years old. I joined Labour a year and a half ago, as I had had enough of watching the Tories destroying our country, and had to try to do something about. Since then, I have become Wensum Valley Branch secretary and social media and communications officer for the Broadland constituency Labour Party.
I am standing as your candidate for Taverham as I cannot accept the way the Norfolk Tories are treating our County. It is cut after cut to essential services from them, whilst they complete vanity projects that are completely unnecessary, such as new council car parks (when we should be promoting public transport) and a redecoration project of the county council chambers (when the council is successfully running the meetings online). All this, while Sure Start centres have closed, the disabled have had benefits cut (which turned out to be legally wrong!), and now the proposed closure of Holt Hall. It’s not good enough! I want to give our county a better future, stop the Tories from destroying our beautiful County, and ensure everyone benefits from a council led by the Labour Party which takes care of everyone in Norfolk.
